What is following?
Following someone on quippd means getting their updates and stories in your personal feed. If you follow Bart, you'll get his updates on your homepage when you sign in.
How can I follow someone?
To follow someone on quippd, visit their profile page. On their profile page, click on Follow <username>. You are now following that person.
Now that you are following someone, their updates and stories will begin to show up in your personalized feed on the homepage. You can stop following someone at any time.
How do I stop following someone?
To stop following someone, visit their profile page and click on Stop following <username>. Their activity will no longer show up in your personal feed on the homepage.
What effect does “liking” a story have?
Clicking on the heart icon next to a story (liking it) makes that story show up in your followers’ feed, even if they are not following that user. This lets you easily share stories that you enjoy with the people that are following you.
Can I edit or delete my stories?
There is no way to edit stories unless you have checked the “Allow other users to edit this story” checkbox on the submission page.
How can I format my stories or comments?
quippd supports Markdown for formatting the descriptions of your stories and comments. Check out our Markdown syntax guide for some help.
